A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities:
Support the Center Director in daily operations, staff management, and program oversight Supervise and mentor teaching staff to ensure high-quality early childhood education standards Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare policies Build and maintain positive relationships with enrolled families and prospective clients Assist with staff onboarding, scheduling, and daily room placements Oversee classroom environments to ensure safety, cleanliness, and developmentally appropriate practices Stepping into classrooms to work directly with the children tin order to maintain ratios when needed Planning, organizing, implementing, and managing family events and extra-curricular activities Managing inventory and assisting with meal service Step in to lead the center in the Director's absence
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field 2+ years of experience in a childcare or early education leadership role Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic personality Warm, professional demeanor with a genuine passion for child development Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced childcare environment Knowledge of Pennsylvania childcare licensing regulations and DHS requirements preferred Willingness to obtain required clearances, physical and TB test, and
