Job Description

Providence Connections is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families and building healthier communities through education, support, and family-centered programming. We believe every family deserves access to quality resources that empower them to thrive. We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and collaborative Family Center Director to lead our Northside Family Center and support our mission of serving children and families throughout Allegheny County. The Family Center Director provides overall leadership and management of the Northside Family Center. This position oversees program operations, staff supervision, community partnerships, quality assurance, budget management, grant support, and compliance with Allegheny County Department of Human Services standards. The Director serves as a key member of the leadership team and promotes the mission, vision, and values of Providence Connections while ensuring high-quality services for the families we serve.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and daily oversight of the Family Center. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Family Center staff. Ensure compliance with Allegheny County Family Support Quality Standards. Develop, implement, and evaluate family programming. Monitor program quality and client outcomes. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports. Review and approve payroll. Collaborate with the Director of Finance on annual budgeting and fiscal management. Assist with grant development, reporting, and program sustainability. Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and county agencies. Work closely with the Parent Council to support family engagement. Lead staff meetings and encourage ongoing professional development. Participate in leadership meetings, community collaborations, and organizational fundraising events. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field. Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or administrative experience within a nonprofit or human services organization. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience managing staff, programs, and budgets. Commitment to serving diverse families and communities. Experience with family support programming, community engagement, grant-funded programs, and mental health services.

Schedule:
Full-Time, Exempt Monday-Friday (daytime schedule) One evening per week required One Saturday per month required Additional evening and weekend hours may be required for special events, meetings, community events, and organizational activities.
