PRIMARY FUNCTION
Childcare Assistant Director is responsible for working alongside our Childcare Director in the operations of our childcare sites. Will assist in the day to day operations of our Williams Avenue clubhouse as well as providing assistance to our Waddington and Pre-K sites. Will assist director in data collection, staff supervision, and compliance.KEY ROLES
(Essential Job Res ponsibilities): Prepare Youth for Success Ensure programs, services and activities that prepare youth for success, promoting safety of members and quality in programs at all times. Provide guidance and role modeling to members. Ensure quality improvement by monitoring and evaluating program achievement against target goals, recommending modifications that respond to member needs and interests and participating in all scheduled. Ensure a healthy and safe environment, supervising members in program area. Manage facilities and ensure a productive work environment, maintaining an inventory of all program equipment and supplies in good order. Recommend requisitions, as necessary;RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
Maintain close, daily contact all full and part-time Club staff (professional and volunteer), school administration and teachers to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.External:
Maintain contact with participants parents/families and to update them on progress made and assist in resolving problems.SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Minimum 1 experience in after school childcare.
- Knowledge of youth development.
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
- Ability to deal with the general public.
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
- Ability to organize and supervise staff and work in a small team environment
- CPR and First Aid Certifications required.
Salary:
$20.00- $25.
