This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about fostering a nurturing and educational environment for children. The Child Care Director will be responsible for managing staff, developing curriculum, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, and promoting a positive atmosphere for both children and their families. Responsibilities Lead and manage the child care program, ensuring high-quality educational experiences for all children. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that meets the developmental needs of children. Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and regulations. Foster strong relationships with families, addressing concerns and promoting open communication. Monitor children's progress and implement assessments to ensure developmental milestones are met. Manage administrative tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and record-keeping. Collaborate with community organizations to enhance program offerings and resources. Skills Higher education teaching experience is highly desirable. Strong background in education administration, with proven leadership capabilities. University experience is a plus, particularly in early childhood education or related fields. Teaching experience that demonstrates effective instructional strategies and classroom management skills. Experience working with students of various ages, fostering an inclusive learning environment. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff, parents, and the community. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children while leading a dedicated team of educators.
