Closing shift (until 6:00 PM, flexibility required) The Goddard School® of Allen (West), TX is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Education to lead our early childhood program with excellence, integrity, and vision. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Performance-based bonus opportunities Health insurance Gym membership Paid time off (PTO) Paid professional development and training Career growth and advancement opportunities Supportive leadership team and positive work environment Key Responsibilities Curriculum & Program Quality Oversee curriculum implementation across all classrooms Ensure lesson plans are developmentally appropriate and consistently executed, including materials and resources Conduct regular classroom observations and provide timely feedback Maintain high-quality standards aligned with Texas Rising Stars and Cognia accreditation Team Leadership & Development Coach, mentor, and support teachers through ongoing feedback and training Lead professional development, staff meetings, and curriculum planning sessions Support onboarding and training of new staff in the classroom Conduct performance evaluations (90-day and annual reviews) Compliance & Operations Ensure compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards Maintain accurate records, classroom documentation, and program visibility Monitor classroom environments, materials, and overall quality Family & Community Engagement Support parent communication, conferences, and meetings Conduct tours for prospective families as needed Assist with school events, marketing efforts, and community engagement Collaboration & Leadership Partner with Owner and Director of Operations on hiring, planning, and budgeting Contribute to annual planning, school events, and strategic initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience as a Director in a licensed childcare facility (Texas required) Strong knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing standards Experience with Texas Rising Stars and/or accreditation systems preferred Familiarity with Conscious Discipline or similar approach preferred Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new systems Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and lead in a fast-paced environment Work Environment & Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and events Active presence in classrooms and around the school Why Join Our Team?
