Camp and Afterschool Director

The Afterschool & Camp Director has the opportunity to mentor, tutor and guide school-age children as well as staff members through the daily schedule of gymnastics, snack, homework, arts & crafts, indoor games, and free play. This position is perfect for someone with childcare experience. We are seeking someone who is energetic, reliable and self-motivated, who is creative and enjoys gymnastics, arts and crafts, games, and having fun! Job Duties for the Afterschool /

Camp Director:

Adheres to and maintains Minimum Standards as set forth by Texas Child Care Licensing Oversees the safety and overall well-being of children in direct care on a day-to-day basis Hires, trains, and maintains all required paperwork for new employees Schedules and manages field trips with local vendors for camps. Transports children in a 13-passenger van for afterschool pick up and camp field trips. Maintains a good rapport with parents and resolves any conflict or concerns presented. Afterschool & Camp Director:

Must be over the age of 21 Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must have 2 years of experience in a licensed child care facility A degree in child development or related studies is preferred Must be able to work flexible hours. Must have a CPR and First Aid certification. Water Safety Certification and keep up with any regulations required by licensing. Must exhibit excellent verbal communication skills and staff management experience.
