This role offers a meaningful opportunity to positively impact students by creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment aligned with educational best practices. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for youth development, operational excellence, and relationship-building. This individual will oversee daily program operations, staff performance, family engagement, and compliance with all applicable childcare regulations while maintaining high standards of quality and service. Program Overview This program operates in partnership with local schools to provide on-campus before and afterschool care in a structured, club-style environment with a focus on STEAM-based learning. Work Schedule & Program Expectations Full-Time (40 Hours/Week) Eligibility based on:
  • Average daily attendance exceeding 50 students
  • Ability to effectively recruit, develop, and retain staff
  • Maintaining family account balances at or below 7% of weekly billing
  • Independently maintaining required staff-to-student ratios
  • Availability to work on-site Monday-Friday, typically 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, with flexibility to support morning care as needed Part-Time (25-30 Hours/Week) Applies when:
  • Enrollment is below 50 students
  • Additional support is required for billing, staffing, or scheduling
  • Director availability does not meet full-time operational needs Key Responsibilities Students
  • Create and maintain a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment aligned with state standards and organizational expectations
  • Adapt and enhance curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Implement social-emotional learning strategies and positive behavior guidance
  • Oversee student groups directly when enrollment levels require Families
  • Drive enrollment through active recruitment and community engagement
  • Manage billing accounts accurately and ensure timely collection of fees
  • Communicate effectively with families, including facilitating meetings to address student needs
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service and foster strong family relationships School Partnerships
  • Collaborate with school administrators through regular meetings to review program performance and address campus needs
  • Partner with schools on events and initiatives that support program visibility and enrollment growth
  • Proactively identify and implement solutions that support campus and program success Staff Leadership
  • Lead full-cycle hiring, onboarding, and training of program staff
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development
  • Ensure staff maintain professionalism and align with organizational expectations
  • Address performance concerns through documented coaching and accountability measures Compliance & Operations
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable childcare regulations and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and documentation
  • Uphold health and safety standards at all times
  • Maintain readiness for licensing and quality assurance visits Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, CDA, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Director certification or ability to obtain
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a childcare or school-age program
  • Strong knowledge of childcare regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience with childcare management systems preferred (e.g., ProCare)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting requirements Physical Requirements
  • Ability to engage in active program environments, including standing, walking, bending, and participating in student activities
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform routine physical tasks associated with childcare settings Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program success and organizational goals
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
