At World of Color, you will play a key role in fostering a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children and their families. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool and daycare programs, ensuring high standards of care, curriculum implementation, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of preschool and daycare facilities, including staff scheduling, enrollment, and budget oversight. Lead and support a team of educators and childcare staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate educational programs and activities that promote the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development of children. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies regarding safety, health, and licensing standards. Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and families, addressing concerns promptly and maintaining open communication. Monitor and maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment, including regular facility inspections and adherence to hygiene protocols. Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified staff members, conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback. Manage administrative tasks such as recordkeeping, reporting, and budgeting to support efficient program operations. Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and community organizations to enhance program offerings and support family engagement. Advocate for the well-being and development of children, ensuring individualized attention and support for diverse needs
Qualifications:
High School Diploma Two years of previous experience in early childhood education or childcare administration, including supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of child development principles, curriculum planning, and educational best practices. Familiarity with state and federal childcare regulations and licensing requirements. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, families, and community partners. Proficiency with administrative software, recordkeeping, and budgeting. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational settings. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Director's License required
