Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership by developing and implementing curriculum plans that promote early childhood development and learning. Manage day-to-day center operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies. Supervise, mentor, and support staff through effective management practices, including conducting performance evaluations and facilitating professional development. Oversee budgeting processes, manage financial resources efficiently, and plan for long-term sustainability through strategic planning and fundraising efforts. Foster positive relationships with families by maintaining open communication, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming community atmosphere. Lead public speaking engagements to promote the center's mission within the community and advocate for early childhood education initiatives. Coordinate classroom activities, supervise teaching staff with classroom experience requirements, and ensure an engaging environment that supports working with students of diverse backgrounds. Ensure timely response to inquiries, and effectively turn inquiries into enrollments. Requirements A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related education field is preferred. A combination of education and previous experience may be considered. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as the Director of a licensed childcare facility Must have and maintain an active Directors license issued by the State of Texas Knowledge and experience working with early childhood National and State accrediting agencies, specifically NAEYC and Texas Rising Star Proven experience in education administration or management within a child care or early childhood setting. Ability to communicate clearly through public speaking and foster positive relationships with families, staff, and community partners. Knowledge of licensing requirements, health & safety protocols, and best practices in early childhood education.
