The Director will:
Report directly to The Children's Place Advisory Committee. Work 5 days per week and approximately 25-30 hours. Serve as ex-officio member of the Advisory Committee Maintain open and clear communication with the moderator of the Advisory Committee. Attend monthly Advisory Committee meetings. Prepare a monthly director's report for Advisory Committee meetings. Prepare monthly financial reports for the Advisory Committee with help from the Advisory Committee's Treasurer. Create an annual budget in coordination with the Moderator and Treasurer of the Advisory Committee for approval every July. Operate within the annual budget as approved by the Advisory Committee. Update Handbooks under the direction of the Advisory Committee as needed. Other duties as assigned by the Advisory Committee. Supervise Staff. Coordinate work schedules and hours, including PTO. Manage and report payroll twice monthly to the St. Andrew Finance Director. Plan regular staff meetings and professional development trainings. Maintain staff training records, and facilitate completion of required trainings per licensing requirements. Conduct annual evaluations of staff members. Interview and hire new staff in coordination with the Advisory Committee and hiring committee. Recruit and coordinate substitute teachers. Curriculum Development, Oversight & Planning Develop and maintain the curriculum map for the school using developmentally appropriate practices. Train staff for the implementation of the curriculum map. Oversee implementation of all curriculum and lesson plans. Register and attend the annual conference with the TCP staff. Develop the yearly calendar including family events, photo days, etc. Coordinate parent events, and plan fundraisers with help from the Advisory Committee. Administration of the school. Compile student files and general paperwork. Place students in classes according to the Policy Manual. Track payments and purchases including tuition payments, supply purchases, late fees, etc. Communication & School Presence Manage and utilize Brightwheel. Create and send a monthly newsletter to the TCP families via Brightwheel. Communicate and maintain relationships with the families of the school. Recruit new students, give school tours, and promote the school utilizing advertising methods as approved by the Advisory Committee. Coordinate the daily welcoming and dismissal of students, and be a daily welcoming presence for our TCP families. Facilities & Supplies Management Oversee and contribute to the school's online presence and social media with help from Advisory Committee volunteers. Work closely and communicate daily with custodial staff. Oversee the maintenance of facilities and the playground. Communicate maintenance needs of the school to the Advisory Committee. Compile and organize supply and equipment inventories. Maintain, purchase, and organize all of the school equipment and supplies. Manage and maintain kitchen organization and supplies. Oversee and coordinate Afternoon Book Club Produce weekly roster. Track Book Club attendance. Maintain student health records and follow-up as needed with parents. Maintain licensing standards with emergency drills and practices as outlined in Minimum Standards and the Emergency Preparedness Handbook. Maintain licensing standards with health regulations as set forth in the state of Texas's Minimum Standards for Early Childhood Centers, with the help of the assistant director. Allergy log Incident reports Facilities (including Facilities log) and playground Licensing stands with emergency drills and practices as outlined in Minimum Standards and the Emergency Preparedness Handbook 30 hours of annual training, CPR/First Aid certification, and child abuse and neglect training as outlined in Minimum Standards Teach as a Substitute in classrooms in emergency situations. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Educational Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher (Bachelor degree preferred) At least 12 college credits/hours in early childhood education and/or child development. Minimum of two years of experience teaching in an early childhood educational setting. Preschool Director Certification preferred.

$22.00 - $27.00 per hour
