LEARNING CENTER DIRECTOR

Job Duties:

Oversees/manages implementation & curriculum for early childhood education Manages operational expenses for learning center Builds relationships with children and families Oversees staffing, handles and resolves staff concerns Applies all YMCA policies/procedures & childcare licensing requirements Responsible for hiring/training/evaluation for TRS teachers & aides Serves as the community liaison for program and for partnerships Monthly progress reports / monthly staff meetings Plans family & learning center events community events with admin approval Supports the program goals of the YMCA. Assists with other duties as assigned by

CEO or Childcare Administrator Skills/Qualifications:

Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED, and First Aid Must have 24 pre-employment training hours Excellent interpersonal, strong communication and problem solving skills. Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to teach and work with children Basic knowledge of computers Education Requirements Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED, and First Aid. Must have director's license or have 5+ years' experience with childcare licensing requirements. Excellent interpersonal, strong communication and problem solving skills. Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to teach and work with children Basic knowledge of computers. Education Requirements 5+ years' experience in childhood education High School Diploma (must have), Associates or Bachelor's Degree (preferred but not required)

$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
