Job Overview The Director of Primrose School of Fairfax provides strategic oversight across all areas of school operations, from enrollment and staffing to family relations and community engagement. This role sets the standard for excellence in daily operations, maintaining open, consistent communication with families to build trust and satisfaction. The Director drives enrollment growth and is genuinely invested in growing the school, working toward monthly enrollment goals with energy and accountability. This role cultivates community partnerships and strengthens brand awareness throughout Fairfax and the surrounding area, including a working knowledge of social media and Instagram to help tell our school's story and engage current and prospective families online. A key responsibility is planning ahead for a full calendar of engaging events throughout the school year — anticipating needs, preparing logistics, and ensuring each event reflects the quality families expect from Primrose. The Director also leads hiring efforts, recruiting and developing a team of qualified, passionate teachers who deliver our Balanced Learning® curriculum. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily school operations, staffing, and administrative management. Drive enrollment growth and work proactively toward monthly enrollment goals. Maintain open, consistent communication with families to build trust and satisfaction. Set and uphold operational and educational standards across the school. Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations. Plan, prepare for, and execute engaging community and family events throughout the school year. Manage social media presence, including Instagram, to build brand awareness and engagement. Recruit, hire, and develop a team of qualified, passionate teachers. Ensure the school delivers on the Balanced Learning® curriculum and Primrose brand standards. Qualifications Proven experience in school administrative leadership within early childhood or preschool settings; prior school experience is essential. Demonstrated success in managing budgets and fundraising efforts within an educational context. Extensive knowledge of educational compliance laws such as special education law and childhood development regulations. Experience in personnel management, supervising staff, facilitating professional development, and conducting faculty evaluations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently in public speaking and community outreach. Working knowledge of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, for marketing and outreach. Proven ability to meet enrollment or growth-oriented goals. Excellent organizational and event-planning skills. Meets state licensing requirements for a child care center director. Deep understanding of classroom instruction techniques combined with instructional leadership skills in education administration. Familiarity with managing school legal issues related to early childhood education programs. Passion for working with young children and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports childhood growth and development.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
