Role:
Primrose School of Redmond is looking for a passionate and experienced Director of Childcare to lead our team in Redmond, WA! This is an exciting opportunity to shape a nurturing, high-quality early education environment where children thrive and families feel at home. Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the childcare facility, ensuring a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment Lead, mentor, and develop a team of early childhood educators and support staff Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and Primrose curriculum standards Build and nurture strong relationships with enrolled families and the broader community Manage enrollment, budgeting, and administrative functions of the school Implement and uphold the Primrose Schools' Balanced Learning® curriculum and philosophy Conduct staff evaluations, training, and professional development initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred Minimum 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education leadership or childcare management Knowledge of Washington State childcare licensing requirements and DCYF regulations Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced childcare setting Passion for child development and creating exceptional early learning experiences
