This is a wonderful full-time leadership opportunity for an energetic, organized, and experienced early childhood education professional who is passionate about creating a high-quality learning environment for children, families, and staff. The Center Director will oversee the daily operations of a well-established educational childcare center, supporting curriculum implementation, staff leadership, enrollment, family engagement, compliance, scheduling, and center-wide programming. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on, people-centered leader who enjoys building strong teams and fostering a warm, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the early childhood education center, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for children, families, and staff. Lead implementation of the organization's early learning curriculum and support developmentally appropriate classroom practices. Manage staffing needs, including hiring, scheduling, onboarding, coaching, and ongoing team support. Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional center culture that supports teacher engagement and retention. Build and maintain strong relationships with families, providing clear communication and responsive support. Support enrollment efforts, academy events, classroom coverage planning, and overall program growth. Ensure compliance with Washington childcare licensing requirements, internal policies, and center operating standards. Partner with leadership and staff to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline operations, and maintain a high standard of care. Qualifications Minimum of two years of full-time experience managing a center-based childcare program as a Center Director. Must meet Washington State licensing requirements for a Center Director under WAC regulations, or be willing and able to complete requirements shortly after hire. Strong knowledge of Washington childcare licensing standards and developmentally appropriate early childhood education practices. Proven experience leading, coaching, and supporting teaching teams in a childcare or early learning environment.
COMPENSATION
This full-time position offers a salary range of $65,000-$90,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications.
