Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Child Care Center Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of a vibrant early childhood education facility. In this pivotal role, you will champion high-quality care and education for young children, foster a positive environment for staff and families, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. Your leadership will drive curriculum development, staff management, strategic planning, and community engagement to create an enriching space where children thrive and families feel supported. Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership by establishing and executing strategic plans that promote excellence in early childhood education and operational efficiency. Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate curricula that support childhood development milestones and foster creativity, social-emotional growth, and learning readiness. Manage the center's budget, oversee financial planning, and ensure fiscal responsibility while maintaining high-quality programming. Lead, supervise, and support a team of teachers and staff through effective personnel management, professional development facilitation, performance evaluations, and team leadership. Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and educational laws including special education law requirements. Cultivate strong relationships with families through transparent communication, community engagement, and exceptional customer service. Oversee school administrative functions such as enrollment management, record keeping, policy implementation, and legal compliance related to childhood education. Coordinate fundraising efforts to support program enhancements, facility improvements, or community outreach initiatives. Facilitate ongoing staff training in instructional leadership, classroom management, childhood development best practices, and educational compliance. Qualifications Proven experience as a school or child care center director with strong management skills in early childhood or K-12 education settings. Extensive knowledge of curriculum development tailored to early childhood development stages. Demonstrated success in managing budgets as an executive education administrator along with experience in school administrative leadership roles. Strong understanding of educational laws including special education law and regulatory requirements for childcare centers. Skilled in personnel management with experience supervising teachers and school staff; capable of conducting faculty evaluations and facilitating professional development. Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of strategic planning, team building, and instructional leadership in educational environments. Excellent communication skills suitable for public speaking engagements with parents, staff meetings, or community events. Classroom experience working directly with young children to understand their developmental needs firsthand. Knowledge of childhood development principles combined with experience managing school operations effectively within legal frameworks.
