Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong commitment to child welfare and early childhood education principles, along with the ability to implement effective curriculum development strategies tailored to the needs of infants. Hours This is a closing position. Hours will be 9:30-6 Monday through Friday. Duties Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding their child's development. Implement behavior management strategies to support positive interactions among children. Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience. Maintain a clean and organized classroom that meets health and safety standards. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Requirements High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be able to pass a state and federal background check. Experience in daycare or childcare settings is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting a positive learning environment. Certification in First Aid/CPR is a plus. We offer a very supportive environment at Dock. There is always someone available to help whether it's a bathroom break or behavioral support in your classroom. We maintain low ratios and all classrooms have 2 full-time teachers.
