Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Your enthusiasm for child development and dedication to supporting children's growth will help foster positive experiences that promote learning and social-emotional well-being. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development Support children during daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid procedures when necessary Engage with children through play, storytelling, and educational exercises to encourage curiosity and learning Maintain clean and organized classroom environments, including sanitizing toys and learning materials Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies and communicate with parents or guardians Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management techniques Skills Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings Certification in first aid and pediatric first aid is highly desirable Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs Strong classroom experience with toddlers and infants, including infant care and toddler care techniques Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, children, and families Demonstrated ability in classroom management, behavior management, and caregiving roles Passion for working with children and supporting their growth through engaging activities Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every child feels valued, safe, and inspired to explore!
