This is a rewarding opportunity to provide care and early intervention for children from birth to age five who have developmental delays or special medical needs. In our pediatric day healthcare clinic, we serve children diagnosed with medical conditions that put them at risk for developmental delays and disabilities. You'll be part of a team that provides intensive, individualized support in a nurturing, child-centered environment.What You'll Do:
Provide daily care to young children including feeding, diapering, dressing, and assisting during mealtimes Deliver developmentally appropriate guidance and activities that align with each child's treatment plan Collaborate with the Early Childhood Development Specialist (ECDS) to implement individualized developmental services Maintain a clean, safe, and exciting learning environment tailored to young children's needs Support a child-centered, family-focused approach to care using evidence-based practicesQualifications:
High School Diploma or GED plus at least 6 months of experience working with children (Substitutions for experience may include CCOT, CDA, AA, or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field) Ability to pass: State abuse registry checks Drug screen TB skin test and provide required immunizations (or proof of immunizations)Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational and communication skills Understanding of early childhood curriculum and child development practices Ability to identify educational and developmental needs of children Positive relationship-building with families, staff, and professionals Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care Why Join Kids First?
