In this vital role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that promotes early childhood development and learning. Duties Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, conducting regular safety checks, and practicing first aid when necessary. Support classroom management by organizing routines, managing behavior, and encouraging positive interactions among children. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to ensure each child's individual needs are met effectively. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, diapering, and hygiene routines to promote health and well-being. Document daily activities, developmental progress, and any incidents accurately to ensure clear communication with families and staff. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool settings, nannying, babysitting, or similar roles. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively. Experience caring for infants through toddlers with an understanding of infant care routines. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues clearly and professionally.
