$16.75 - $17.30 / hour
Position Summary:
The Lead Teacher at Young Hearts Preschool will report to the School Director. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for all students assigned to them in the areas of education, supervision, assessment, and parent communication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow quality assurance measures to maintain excellence of program offerings, operations, and state licensure. Work to achieve and maintain NAEYC accreditation. Maintain regular communications with School Director, Assistant Director, and parents of enrolled students. Escalate incident reports to the School Director. Partner to maintain a safe environment. Adhere to Great Hearts/Young Hearts policies, procedures, and business initiatives. Attend monthly meetings. Utilize The Creative Curriculum and Gold Strategies to execute lessons and assessments. Hold parent teacher conferences twice a year Cultivate and maintain relationships with students, parents, and academy administration. Additional duties and projects assigned.
Required/Preferred Education:
CDA, associate's degree or higher preferred
Required/Preferred Experience:
1-2 years' experience working in a licensed preschool program.
Required/Preferred Skills:
Exemplifies the heart of service to others. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Models mission and vision of Great Hearts and Young Hearts. Illustrates sound business judgement and strategic thinking including but not limited to data analysis. Provides leadership in formulating and managing major projects or initiatives. Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build positive and strong relationships with all stakeholders. Achievement-oriented, willingness to work hard and take satisfaction from being productive. Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot with little direction. Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills.
Physical Functions:
Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 40 pounds approximately. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Travel required:
