Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, promote positive behavior, and support the holistic growth of children in your care. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a vibrant learning community where children feel safe, valued, and excited to explore the world around them. Duties Develop and execute innovative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among preschool-aged children. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special needs or interventions required. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high-quality childcare and educational standards. Implement curriculum development techniques that incorporate Montessori methods, sensory activities, and age-appropriate teaching practices. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety protocols, and childcare policies to promote child welfare at all times. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings, including classroom management and lesson planning. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development tools such as Montessori methods or standardized testing approaches for young learners. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, staff, and community partners. Certification in early childhood education or a related field; additional training in literacy education or toddler care is a plus. Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and developmental needs. Ability to lead by example with enthusiasm, patience, organization, and a commitment to child welfare.
