As we continually innovate and refine our care model, the role of the Child Developmental Behavior Specialist is pivotal. Through our specialized approach, we empower children with autism, guiding them towards reaching their full potential. Our methods are grounded in the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based approach within the framework of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. By joining our team, you'll play a crucial role in advancing our mission-driven care model.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized ABA therapy sessions to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to the profession's rigorous standards Implement intervention plans developed by our expert Masters-level clinicians, ensuring alignment with ABA therapy principles Build rapport and maintain ongoing communication with families, providing regular updates on their child's progress within the ABA framework Participate in continuous training and professional development to stay abreast of advancements in ABA therapy and maintain certification
Qualifications:
Preferably enrolled in or completed a degree program, with a focus on Child Development, Psychology, or related fields Ability to obtain and maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (Soar provides paid training) Previous experience working with children, particularly those with autism, and a passion for helping them thrive Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client
