This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, creating fun and purposeful activities, and helping children build confidence, social skills, motor skills, early learning skills, and independence through play. Our enrichment programs complement our pediatric therapy services by providing children with opportunities to play, move, explore, learn, and build relationships in a supportive and welcoming environment. Programs You Will Lead The Enrichment Program Instructor will help plan and facilitate a variety of classes, including: Baby & Me Interactive caregiver-and-child sessions focused on early development, movement, communication, bonding, play, and social interaction. Move & Grow An active movement-based class incorporating age-appropriate gross motor activities, obstacle courses, adaptive movement, yoga, tumbling, music, and structured play. Friendship Club A social enrichment program designed to help children practice age-appropriate social interaction, communication, cooperative play, turn-taking, problem-solving, and friendship-building skills. Preschool Readiness / Kids Club Play-based activities designed to support early learning, classroom readiness, following directions, participation in group activities, pre-academic concepts, independence, and positive peer interactions. Sensory Play Hands-on, play-based experiences incorporating exploration of different materials, textures, movement, creative activities, and age-appropriate sensory experiences. Responsibilities Lead engaging, structured, and developmentally appropriate enrichment classes. Create a welcoming, positive, and inclusive environment for children and caregivers. Prepare and organize materials and activities before each class. Adapt activities to accommodate different developmental levels and abilities. Encourage participation, independence, communication, social interaction, and positive peer relationships. Maintain appropriate supervision and safety throughout each class. Communicate professionally and positively with parents and caregivers. Collaborate with ACT's multidisciplinary team when appropriate. Follow ACT policies, procedures, safety expectations, and program guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting program environment. Provide consistent and dependable class leadership. Help develop new enrichment activities and programs as the program grows. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Energetic, creative, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with children. Comfortable leading groups of young children. Organized and dependable. Able to confidently manage a structured but fun classroom environment. Comfortable adapting activities for children with varying developmental abilities. A strong communicator with children, parents, and coworkers. Comfortable with movement-based, hands-on, messy, and play-based activities. Positive, professional, and collaborative. Interested in child development, early childhood education, pediatric therapy, recreation, or a related field. The position utilizes a split-day schedule to better accommodate the needs of our pediatric population. Morning hours would be structured around our preschool-aged children and early intervention programming, with a planned mid-day break between service blocks. The intern or staff member would then return in the afternoon to support our after-school population and scheduled programs. The position may begin with a limited schedule of approximately 15-20 hours per week , with the opportunity to increase hours as patient demand, program enrollment, and clinic needs develop. This structure allows us to align staffing with patient demand, maximize opportunities for direct clinical experience, and provide consistent coverage during the times when our pediatric caseload is highest. The specific schedule would be established based on program times, patient attendance, clinic needs, and the staff's approved weekly-hour limit. Experience in early childhood education, childcare, pediatric therapy, recreation, special education, dance, gymnastics, adaptive recreation, preschool programming, or group children's programming is a plus.
