We seek teachers who are convinced of the unlimited potential of each student, and committed to empowering each student to build a contributive, happy life.
Definition:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director/Principal; the Teacher provides instruction and services for their pupils in the Multiple Subject elementary classroom. Candidates should have a strong background in planning standards-based lessons and deliver lessons with effective student-directed classroom management skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with English language learners with an English Learner (EL) authorization credential, and will have extensive expertise in providing differentiated instruction for high achieving and at-risk students, including targeted intervention based on ongoing data analysis. We are seeking teachers with a constructivist teaching methodology. Individuals whose pedagogy is focused on arts integration, student-centered instruction, and project-based learning, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Essential Duties:
Provides direct instruction in academic areas on a one-to-one, small group, or whole group basis. Provides student-directed independent practice activities as part of the lesson plan and classroom structure. Provides a positive learning environment that stimulates student learning and maintenance of skills. Supports the policies and programs of ISSAC Org and perform in accord with all of the educational laws.
Requirements / Qualifications
A valid or in-progress PK-3 Credential Permit is required.
