Early Interventionist (In-Home Services)

Paid mileage reimbursement About CurtisCARE CurtisCARE is dedicated to supporting infants and young children with developmental delays and disabilities through high-quality early intervention services. We partner with families to promote developmental growth through individualized, play-based learning in natural environments. Position Summary The Early Interventionist provides developmental services to infants and toddlers in their homes and community settings. Working closely with families, the Early Interventionist implements individualized intervention plans, coaches caregivers, monitors developmental progress, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support each child's growth and success. Essential ResponsibilitiesChild Assessment & Documentation Conduct developmental assessments using the Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP). Complete observations, progress reports, and quarterly developmental assessments. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including session notes and progress updates. Prepare assessment reports within required timelines. Individualized Planning Develop and implement Individualized Play Plans (IPP) based on IFSP goals. Create developmentally appropriate objectives targeting communication, motor, cognitive, social-emotional, and self-help skills. Monitor progress and modify intervention strategies as needed. Direct Early Intervention Services Provide weekly in-home and community-based early intervention sessions. Plan and implement engaging, play-based activities tailored to each child's developmental needs. Coach and model strategies for parents and caregivers to use between visits. Support families through education, guidance, and resource sharing. Maintain professional standards and confidentiality at all times. Family & Team Collaboration Build positive relationships with families through ongoing communication and support. Collaborate with service coordinators, therapists, educators, and other professionals. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and trainings. Additional Responsibilities Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development activities. Complete other duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor or Director. QualificationsEducation Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field. Minimum 24 ECE units, including: Infant/Toddler Development Curriculum for Young Children Practicum or Supervised Teaching Official transcripts required. Experience Minimum one year of experience working with young children. Experience working with children with developmental delays or special needs preferred. Skills & Abilities Knowledge of child development and early intervention practices. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and virtual meeting platforms. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to build positive relationships with diverse families. Requirements Valid California Driver License. Reliable transportation and current vehicle insurance. Live Scan fingerprint clearance. Negative TB clearance and required health screenings. Current Infant CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain). Ability to travel throughout Los Angeles County. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Frequent bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor, and engaging in active play with children. Ability to work in a variety of home and community environments.
