The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of young children. This role involves planning and implementing engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring the well-being of each child, and collaborating with parents to support their child's educational journey. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction. Monitor and assess each child's development, providing feedback to parents on progress. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a safe and orderly environment. Support children's emotional, social, and cognitive development through various teaching methods. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices. Address individual needs of children, including those requiring special education or behavioral management strategies. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational practices. Skills Strong background in childcare and child welfare principles. Proficiency in literacy education techniques to promote early reading skills. Experience in classroom management to create a structured learning environment. Familiarity with standardized testing practices for early childhood education. Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to support positive behavior in the classroom. Experience or training in special education methods is a plus. Understanding of Montessori principles is beneficial but not required. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with parents and staff.
