Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional development aligned with early childhood education standards. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and inclusive environment. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support their child's development at home. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations while maintaining a safe and healthy classroom environment. Incorporate specialized instructional strategies such as Montessori methods or early intervention techniques when appropriate. Oversee classroom management duties including lesson planning, assessment administration and maintaining organized learning spaces. Support children with diverse needs by integrating special education practices and working closely with specialists when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance records, and incident reports in accordance with licensing requirements. Experience Prior teaching experience with young children in preschool or childcare settings is required; experience in private schools or Montessori environments is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and child development instruction and creative curriculum. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning atmosphere through effective behavior management strategies. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention practices, and mandated reporting laws is essential. Experience working with children who have special needs or require additional support is highly desirable. Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and community partners to support child welfare and educational success. Familiarity with teaching physical education activities, tutoring techniques, and standardized testing procedures enhances your candidacy.
