In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster early childhood development, promote literacy and numeracy skills, and ensure a positive experience for every child. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the foundational growth of children while gaining valuable classroom experience in a dynamic educational setting. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, including lesson implementation and student supervision Support children's social-emotional development through positive behavior management and mentoring Help facilitate literacy and math activities tailored to early childhood learning standards Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Maintain classroom organization, including materials preparation, proofreading educational resources, and managing supplies Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom events Collaborate with teaching staff to develop inclusive strategies for children with special needs or disabilities Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques Familiarity with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards and educational compliance regulations Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members Ability to implement behavior management strategies and support children with autism or other special needs Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to enhance learning experiences Valid first aid and CPR certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and staff Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners!
