Infant Classroom Position Our Infant Teacher will provide responsive and individualized care while helping our youngest children feel safe, secure, and loved.

Infant Classroom responsibilities include:

Providing nurturing and attentive care to infants and young toddlers Following each child's individual feeding, sleeping, and personal-care plan Preparing, handling, and storing bottles and food safely Following all safe-sleep requirements Completing diaper changes, handwashing, sanitation, and daily documentation Planning age-appropriate sensory, language, music, movement, and developmental activities Observing and supporting each child's developmental milestones Communicating daily routines, accomplishments, and concerns to families through Brightwheel Maintaining a clean, organized, welcoming, and licensing-compliant infant environment Early Preschool Two-Year-Old Potty-Training Position Our Early Preschool classroom specifically serves two-year-old children. Potty training is one of the primary responsibilities of this position and a significant part of the classroom's daily routine. Children transition into our Preschool classroom when they turn three. The Early Preschool Teacher plays an important role in helping children develop the toileting, communication, social-emotional, and self-help skills needed for that transition.

Early Preschool responsibilities include:

Providing patient, positive, and consistent potty-training support throughout the day Establishing and maintaining a consistent classroom toileting schedule Assisting with diapers, pull-ups, underwear, wiping, handwashing, accidents, and clothing changes Recognizing and respecting each child's individual potty-training readiness and progress Supporting children without pressure, punishment, shame, or embarrassment Accurately documenting bathroom attempts, successes, accidents, and changes Communicating regularly with families to promote consistency between home and school Working with families and school leadership to develop individualized potty-training strategies when needed Helping children develop language, independence, dressing, hygiene, and other self-help skills Planning engaging early-learning experiences in literacy, math, STEM, art, sensory play, music, movement, and social-emotional development Preparing children for their transition into the Preschool classroom at age three Responsibilities for Both Positions Maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate classroom Provide active supervision and maintain required teacher-to-child ratios Use positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior-support strategies Observe and document children's development, interests, strengths, and areas of need Adapt activities and classroom approaches for different learning styles and developmental abilities Support children with developmental differences or special education needs using family-provided or professionally recommended strategies Communicate warmly and professionally with families Work collaboratively with the director, coworkers, families, and outside support professionals when applicable Record accurate classroom and child information through Brightwheel Follow all Kingston Academy and Community Care Licensing requirements Complete end-of-day cleaning, sanitation, organization, and classroom-closing duties Provide families with a warm and professional pickup experience Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting children with developmental differences, special education needs, or early-intervention services Strong infant-care or potty-training experience Familiarity with Brightwheel or another childcare communication platform Additional ECE units, an Associate Degree, or a California Child Development Permit Bilingual English and Spanish skills Pay $20.00-$22.00 per hour Starting pay is based on completed ECE units, education, qualifications, and relevant infant, toddler, potty-training, or preschool classroom experience.
