Preschool and After-School Teacher

Are you looking to work part time in a play-based after school program in downtown Lafayette? Our team is looking to add an after-school teacher (12pm-4:45pm). With an option to help out in our preschool classrooms for more hours. (Potentially 9am - 12pm) Our center is open August to May, following the LES schedule and with option for Summer Camp in June. School Hours:

Preschool 8:30AM - 2:30

PM, After-School:

11:45 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. Applicants must have at least 12 units in Early Childhood Development, AA Degree preferred. Applicants must also have completed CPR & First Aid, have a current live scan clearance, current vaccinations and be willing to continue their education. The qualified candidate will possess the following: 1. Minimum of 12 ECE units (including core courses) 2. Prior experience working in a licensed childcare facility 3. Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification, training will be provided Must pass health & TB screening Paid time off (up to 4 weeks per school year) & Sick Leave, opportunity for retirement, Kaiser Medical. At JBK Kids we believe that the foundation of teaching comes from quality relationships. We follow the teacher pyramid. Teaching pyramid training is preferred but not required.
