Job Description

About Ames Child Care Center:

ACCC is an employer-sponsored, non-profit child care center and preschool that provides excellent care for children aged six weeks through pre-kindergarten. Our program is NAEYC accredited and offers a play-based, developmentally appropriate, hands-on curriculum. We have small group sizes and low teacher/child ratios. Our newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility is located on the campus of NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View. Ames Child Care Center (ACCC) is looking for an enthusiastic Preschool Floater Teacher to work with young children ages 18 months to 5 years old. We also offer opportunities for professional growth.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Qualification:

Minimum of 6-12 early childhood education units Minimum of 1 year of experience with children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Understanding of play-based curriculum and being able to build positive relationships with parents. Team player - understanding the value of teamwork and the importance of a healthy community brings a strong impact on children Able and willing to float in different classrooms as needed (ages 6 weeks to 5 years) Physical ability to pick up (45lb) children to change diapers Proficiency in computer applications: MS Word, PDF, Google Docs, email, uploading online pictures, and Procare Proof of completion of at least core ECE courses, which include 3-semester Infant Toddler Units , Child Development units, Early Childhood Education Curriculum, and Child, Family, and Community units (Preferred) Current California Child Development Teacher Permit or meets qualifications for a Teacher Permit (Preferred).
