Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster curiosity, social skills, and foundational learning in preschool-aged children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of children while gaining valuable classroom experience in a dynamic educational setting. Duties Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans across various subjects including literacy, math, and social-emotional development. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, including Montessori or other curriculum frameworks. Help organize classroom materials, prepare learning resources, and maintain a clean and safe environment. Work closely with children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, providing individualized support when necessary. Foster effective communication with children to enhance language skills and social interactions. Participate in curriculum development efforts to ensure activities meet developmental milestones and educational standards. Qualifications Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, literacy education, math instruction, and working with children with disabilities or autism. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and children. Ability to work well in a team environment while demonstrating patience, creativity, and enthusiasm. Completion of at least 12 units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education Current CPR and First Aid certification for infants and children Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Passion for supporting children's emotional, social, and educational development
Pay:
$17.50 - $20.00 per hour
