Job Description
We are growing at NDR Therapeutic Riding & Therapy Services and are looking for an Adaptive Riding Instructor to add to our family!
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Adaptive Riding Instructor will be responsible for providing essential care and support for horses and maintaining a clean and organized stable environment. The position will also encompass general "Assistant" duties on behalf of the Executive Director and other instructors. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Grooming- Regularly groom and clean horses, including brushing, picking hooves, and maintaining their overall appearance. Horse Handling
- Must be able to handle all horses on the property safely and in control during therapeutic activities and around the ranch Lesson Instructing
- Must use all safety measures and instructor students of all abilities in a group or private setting. Documenting
- Complete detailed session notes for each individual per session, and capable of logging notes electronically through Salesforce in a timely manner. Cleaning and Maintenance
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of areas as directed by the Executive Director and instructors. Staff Trainings
- Must be a team player and continuing education as a professional. Positive Attitude
- Must be able to follow all safety procedures and think on your toes.
REQUIREMENTS
PATH Certified Instructor Recommended or must be willing to obtain. Must have at least 2 year of experience instructing. Physical fitness and ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 75lbs and performing tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and visitors. Proficient in documenting participant progress by completing detailed session notes for each individual, and capable of logging notes electronically through Salesforce in a timely manner. Knowledge of basic horse care and handling techniques. Must clear a TB test along with a Federal live scan background check. Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces and be on their feet all day. Must be available for up to 20 hours a week including Saturdays.Job Type:
