Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to support the daily care and development of young children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will assist with supervising children, ensuring their safety, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. This role involves collaborating with staff and communicating effectively with parents to promote the well-being and growth of each child. A strong understanding of childhood development, infant care, and pediatric first aid is essential to succeed in this position. Responsibilities Supervise children during various activities, ensuring their safety and engagement at all times Assist with infant care routines, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants Support childhood development by encouraging age-appropriate activities and learning experiences Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs Provide patience and understanding when working with children who have special needs or IEPs Support staff in implementing educational programs and daily routines Ensure cleanliness and organization of the daycare area to promote a healthy environment Requirements Certification in First Aid and CPR (including Pediatric First Aid) is required Experience working with children, particularly infants and young children, is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific care practices Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members Ability to work effectively with children who have special needs or require individualized support Reliable, responsible, and committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children Join our team as a Daycare Assistant to make a positive impact on children's lives while developing your skills in early childhood education.
Pay:
$16.90 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 25.0 per week
