Classroom Teaching Early Childhood Education Full Job Description Requirements:
demonstrates exemplary skills and knowledge in preschool education, working knowledge of Title 22, able to successfully manage a classroom for young children, good oral communication skills, able to plan and implement daily curriculum following center philosophy, able to work under the supervision of the administrative staff, able to work as a team member with all staff members, able to establish a positive rapport with children and parents and make adequate decisions regarding children's safety and well-being. Must be sensitive to the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of the children. Must enjoy the outdoors, be able to work in an outside environment, enjoy working with animals, be able to work in loud areas, be able to lift 50 lbs, twist, turn, stoop, reach, push, and bend demonstrating full range of motions. Must be , flexible, and able to work and solve problems effectively with parents and staff. Applicants are encouraged to apply if they have completed or are actively working toward 24 units in Child Development/Early Childhood Education (an AA or BA in ECE/CD with 24 qualifying units is desirable). We also welcome candidates who have completed at least 12 ECE/CD units—including Child/Human Development, Child, Family and Community, and an Infant or Toddler course (or are currently enrolled in the Infant/Toddler class). If you are motivated to continue your professional growth, we are happy to provide support and training as you work toward becoming a fully qualified Teacher. A copy of your transcripts is required (unofficial copies are acceptable). We understand that some applicants are also pursuing their education, and scheduling accommodations may be possible to support school commitments. Upon acceptance of employment, the applicant must be able to pass the Department of Social Service Live Scan finger printing background check, obtain and pass a health screening and TB skin test by a medical professional, show proof of immunization to Pertussis and Measles, obtain yearly Influenza vaccine (waiver available), hold and maintain a valid CPR and First Aid certification, take free yearly Healthy Schools Act one-hour training, free bi-annual Mandated Reporter Training and free bi-annual harassment training certificate. Applicants are responsible for all fees and time involved in acquiring the certifications and immunizations prior to employment.
Benefits:
Medical and dental insurance, vacation & holiday pay once the applicant has passed his/her probation period. Sick time available after 90 days of employment. Employee can also contribute to a 401K plan after one year of employment.
Hourly Salary Starting:
  • $19.50 - $20.70 with 12-24 ECE Units & Up Depending on Additional ECE Units
  • $20.50-$21.70 with AA Degree in CD/ECE Including 12-24 ECE Units & Up Depending on Additional ECE Units
  • $22.50-$23.70 with BA Degree in CD/ECE Including 12-24 ECE Units & Up Depending on Additional ECE Units

Additional ECE Units Additional Pay Increases May Include:
  • Probation Increase - after successfully passing 90 working day probation

Hours:
Full-Time (Between 32 to 40 hours per week). The current approximate hours are Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm. The center is open from 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Working with
