Part-time/Days Position Summary :
Trainers provide one-on-one services to individuals with special needs ages 0-5 years, teaching them various skills that greatly enhance their lives. We are seeking energetic applicants with a passion for working with families and children on individualized goals in areas such as social skills, safety, communication, and daily living.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
To provide instruction and support to children and their families while teaching appropriate skills for maximum success in the home and community. ■ Providing support and promoting opportunities which enhance the lives of individuals within the autism spectrum and their families. ■ Utilize systems, policies, and procedures to ensure operational responsibility (i.e. payroll systems, turning in paperwork on time, documentation, etc.) ■ Participate in training provided by supervision to learn about autism, the child's needs and goals, how to respond to various situations, how to document services, and other issues related to the job. ■ Collaborate with the family and/or staff in order to keep open communication regarding the child's progress. ■ Collaborate with staff and other professionals involved in providing services to the child. ■ Document each unit of service in the prescribed fashion on the progress note and the timesheet and submit it to the supervisor in a timely manner. ■ Review the child's progress on an ongoing basis to keep goals and strategies appropriate for the child's level of ability. ■ Receive supervision and feedback regarding job performance from the supervisor and the child's family.Qualifications:

Experience in working with childrenPhysical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Decision Making:
Ability to apply and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Communication:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as child outcomes, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write home visit summaries and correspondence.Work Environment:
Family homes and community based. Monthly staff meetings.Compensation:
