The TK Teacher creates a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that builds foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional development, while preparing students for success in Kindergarten and beyond. Responsibilities Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, play-based instruction for Transitional Kindergarten students Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports early learning Develop lessons that build foundational skills in early literacy, math, and social-emotional development Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of young learners Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of growth and development Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs Collaborate with instructional aides, support staff, and school leadership Implement district curriculum and participate in school and district initiatives Maintain classroom routines, procedures, and positive behavior supports Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (required) 24 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (required for Transitional Kindergarten eligibility) English Learner Authorization (CLAD or equivalent) embedded in credential or obtained separately Ability to pass background clearance (Live Scan) and TB testing per California requirements Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Ability to create an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment
Pay:
$63,346.40 - $129,125.49 per year
