Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive growth, social skills, and early learning experiences for children in our care. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote childhood development and learning. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Support children with daily routines such as meal times, diapering, nap times, and personal hygiene. Engage children in educational activities that encourage social interaction, motor skills, and cognitive growth. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards. Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of neglect or abuse and reporting concerns appropriately. Requirements Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire), including pediatric first aid training. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and classroom management techniques. Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child supervision best practices.
