The candidate should love being around children, have patience and be able to make them feel safe and cared for while having fun and learning.

Responsibilities:

Provide meals and snacks to children while they are in your care. Listen to children's problems and offer advice when appropriate. Supervise small groups of children during activities such as arts and crafts. Explain daily routines to children patiently. Encourage good behavior and discourage unacceptable behavior in young children. Follow safety rules when caring for infants, such as changing diapers and bathing. Help young children with their homework. Interact with a variety of people. Care for infants and small children, including feeding them and changing their diapers if necessary. Keep the child's schedule on time, including diapering, feeding, dressing, grooming, taking them to appointments, and preparing for bed.
