French Preschool Teacher (Toute Petite Section 2 years old) - September 2026 Au Clair de Lune French Preschool & Kindergarten - San Diego (Linda Vista) Au Clair de Lune is a French immersion preschool and kindergarten dedicated to early childhood (0-6 years), where we nurture each child's development through a warm, play-based and language-rich environment. We are currently looking for a responsible, and dynamic French-speaking teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year , working specifically with our 2 year old classroom. About the Role As a teacher in our preschool, you will support children during a key stage of development, helping them build their first language, social, and motor skills in a nurturing and structured environment. This role requires patience, attention to individual rhythms, and a deep understanding of early development. Responsibilities Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for toddlers Support early language development in French through daily interactions Use age-appropriate activities (sensory play, music, movement, simple exploration) Observe and respond to each child's individual needs and development Encourage social interactions and early independence Assist with daily routines (meals, diapering, nap time, transitions) Maintain a clean, organized classroom following health and safety guidelines Collaborate closely with the teaching team Qualifications Fluent in French (required) Experience or strong interest in working with infants/toddlers Patient, caring, and attentive to children's needs Reliable and team-oriented Strong communication skills Preferred (Plus) 12 ECE units (or willingness to complete them) CPR certification Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Position Details Full-time, in-person
