Preschool TeacherJob Summary We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children and committed to creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment that supports each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. The Preschool Teacher will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities, foster positive relationships with children and families, and promote a love of learning through hands-on exploration and play-based experiences. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and program goals. Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and learning. Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities and positive interactions. Utilize developmentally appropriate teaching practices, including Montessori-inspired methods when applicable. Effectively manage classroom behavior using positive guidance and reinforcement techniques. Observe, assess, and document children's progress and developmental milestones. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth, achievements, and any concerns. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to maintain a supportive and team-oriented educational environment. Facilitate indoor and outdoor activities that promote gross motor development, health, and wellness. Support early intervention strategies and work with families and specialists as needed to meet individual learning needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in compliance with licensing and safety regulations. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of at least 12 semester units or 18 quarter units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development including Infant/Toddler Development. Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and all required pre-employment screenings. Must meet all applicable state licensing requirements for preschool teachers. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a preschool, childcare, or early learning setting. Familiarity with Montessori philosophy and teaching methods. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Skills and Attributes Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best teaching practices. Excellent classroom management and behavior guidance skills. Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, nurturing, and dependable with a genuine passion for working with young children. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
