Job Description

Preschool Teacher (Full-Time) Challenge School is an NAEYC accredited Mandarin and English bilingual preschool and after school that has served Bay Area families since 2003. We have campuses in Foster City, San Mateo, Belmont, and Fremont. As experts in language immersion and early childhood education, our school nurtures creative learners in a unique bilingual learning environment. As our school grows, we are looking for teachers who share our passion for providing quality Chinese language education and early childhood education. As a preschool Teacher or TA you will: Assist the Lead Teacher in classroom management, health and safety issues, assessments, and lesson plans Provide a safe, clean, creative, and nurturing environment for kids Participate in planning and implementation of curriculum and creative projects Supervise and facilitate the needs of a group of kids Document behaviors and accomplishments of each child and communicate them with their parents Assist in the daily maintenance of the classroom We offer: Competitive wages Competitive benefits, including health insurance, dental insurance, sick leave, PTO, 401k with employer matching, employee discount, and education reimbursement Professional development workshops and trainings
Qualifications:
TA:
At least 6 post-secondary
CORE ECE
units at an accredited college
Teacher:
12 CORE ECE units at an accredited college + 1 year of teaching experience At least 3 infant/toddler ECE unit Capable of lifting weight up to 45 lbs Demonstrates knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Mandarin Speaking preferred, but not required
