• and Short-term assignments available for On-Call Preschool Teachers to work at the Santa Rosa and Healdsburg, CA childcare centers of YWCA Sonoma County.

Minimum Qualifications:

12 ECE Units in Early Childhood Education completed One year experienc e working in a licensed childcare facility. Must be willing to be temporarily assigned to an alternative site to meet staffing needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (Spanish) a plus First Aid and CPR certification a plus

Conditions of Hire:

Prior to employment, ability to pass agency criminal background check, TB test and physical. Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and immunization records to influenza, pertussis, and measles

Position Summary:

Working in collaboration with other teachers, this position helps develop and implement a quality childcare program that supports children's physical, social/emotional, and cognitive areas of development. This includes modeling appropriate behaviors, planning classroom and small group activities, setting-up/ cleaning-up classrooms, assisting with student arrival and departures, food program preparation and maintaining appropriate documentation. Must currently possess, or be qualified to apply for and be granted the A ssociate

Teacher Permit :

Option 1: 12 units ECE/ CD including core courses Option 2: Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.

Or Teacher Permit:

Option 1: 24 units ECE/CD including core courses plus 16 General Education (GE) units Option 2: AA or higher in ECE/CD or related field with 3 units supervised field experience in ECE/CD setting. Must meet the Associate Teacher or Teacher requirements of the California Department of Education, Child Development Division, for Title 5 childcare centers.
