Job Description

Join Our Team at Ascension Lutheran Early Childhood Center At ALECC, we believe the earliest years are some of the most important in a child's life. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and collaborative Infant/Toddler Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and understands the unique needs of our youngest learners. What You'll Do Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers Provide responsive, nurturing care including feeding, diapering, comforting, and supporting daily routines Foster children's social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development through meaningful interactions and play Plan and implement developmentally appropriate experiences that encourage exploration, curiosity, and discovery Observe and document children's growth and milestones to support individualized learning and family communication Build positive partnerships with families through daily communication and collaboration Maintain a clean, organized, and healthy classroom environment Work closely with co-teachers and administration to provide high-quality care and maintain classroom consistency Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and school policies Qualifications Minimum 12 ECE units, including Infant/Toddler Development (required) At least 6 months of experience working with children under 3 years of age Strong understanding of infant and toddler development Excellent communication and teamwork skills Warm, patient, flexible, and responsive caregiving approach Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and actively engage with children on the floor and playground Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field Experience in a play-based early childhood program What We Offer Competitive pay based on education and experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer matching Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time Professional development and continuing education support Tuition reimbursement opportunities Employee childcare discount A supportive leadership team and collaborative school community A positive workplace culture where teachers are valued and respected Schedule Full-Time, Monday-Friday Location Thousand Oaks, CA (In Person) If you are passionate about helping infants and toddlers build a strong foundation for lifelong learning, we invite you to apply and become part of the ALECC family.
