Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Two-Year-Old Preschool Teacher to inspire young learners during their critical early developmental years. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored specifically for toddlers, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. As a leader in the classroom, you will implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, manage daily activities, and build strong relationships with children and their families. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay a solid foundation for each child's lifelong love of learning. Duties Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood development principles, including literacy education, math concepts, and motor skills. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management. Plan and lead engaging activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and cognitive growth tailored to two-year-olds. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's development, milestones, and classroom experiences to foster strong partnerships. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of incidents or concerns related to child welfare. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and best practices in early childhood education. Qualifications A minimum of one year experience as a lead toddler teacher, preferably with 2-year-olds. Prior classroom experience is required. A minimum of 12 ECE units required, including core courses. Knowledge of child development stages specific to two-year-olds and familiarity with early intervention strategies. Strong understanding of curriculum development, behavior management techniques, and classroom management skills. Must be a team player. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Experience integrating literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and Montessori or other specialized teaching methods is preferred. Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and uphold child welfare standards at all times. Hours Monday
