Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Enrichment Specialist to lead engaging after-school STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) and sports programs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire children through hands-on activities, promote positive behavior, and create a fun learning environment that encourages exploration and teamwork. Responsibilities Plan and facilitate interactive STEAM activities and sports sessions that align with curriculum goals and age-appropriate development. Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all children. Supervise children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play, ensuring their safety at all times. Collaborate with team members to develop creative lesson plans that integrate educational standards with engaging content. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and program participation. Maintain a clean and organized activity space, ensuring all materials are safe and properly stored. Respond promptly to any medical or behavioral incidents using first aid or behavioral management techniques as needed. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or after-school programs. Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified. Background in early childhood education, special education, or childhood development is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and families. Enthusiasm for teaching diverse groups of students through creative methods like theater, sports coaching, or arts activities. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Educational Background Requirements High School Completion, PLUS 48 college credits or higher completed Health Clearances Negative TB Test Result Background History Check Clearances Live Scan Criminal Background Check 'Zero Record' Clearance National Sex Offender Database Search 'Zero Record' Clearance Professional Reference Check 'Minimum Score' Clearance Certifications First Aid/CPR Certification Mandated Reporter Training Certification Sexual Abuse and Harassment Training Certification Must be 18 years or older Be able to Stand and Walk around for extended periods of time Be able to move safely on irregular and/or uneven terrain on a regular basis, occasional running and other strenuous physical activity. Be able to hear, see and communicate verbally without issues and additional aides Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Be able to lift and move a minimum of 30 lbs Be able to reach overhead and reach down to the floor without any issues Be able to sit on the floor and return to a standing position Be able to perform some physical work, such as: kneeling, bending, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects. Physical work is a primary part of the job (more than 70%) and involves frequent standing and walking. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Must have reliable transportation
