Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to support the development and well-being of children in our care environment. This role involves working closely with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, to foster a safe, engaging, and nurturing atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and caregiving, with a strong focus on childhood development and behavior management. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable classroom experience. Responsibilities Assist in supervising and engaging children during daily activities, playtime, and learning sessions Support teachers and caregivers in implementing educational programs aligned with early childhood development principles Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, including administering basic first aid when necessary Help with diapering, feeding, and nap routines for infants and toddlers Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote respectful and cooperative interactions among children Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment in accordance with safety standards Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support children's individual needs Support children with disabilities or special needs by providing appropriate care and assistance as needed Participate in ongoing training related to childcare best practices, classroom management, and early childhood education Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments Knowledge of childhood development stages and age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Certification in first aid and CPR is required . Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for caring for young children Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Part-time position working Monday thru Friday and some Saturdays This role is ideal for individuals committed to fostering a nurturing environment that supports early childhood growth and development.
