Experienced preschool teacher 12 or more Early Childhood Education Credits (ECE) Teacher Permit 16 hours of Health & Safety including CPR and First Aide Fingerprint Clearance, FBI and Child Abuse IndexABOUT THE POSITION

Health Insurance and dental and vision Company paid life insurance Salary dependent on education Basic Function • Responsible for the academic instruction and safety of children in the classroom at all times. • Assume all duties of the Support Teacher and Instructional Assistant. Responsibilities 1. Support the centers philosophy and administrative policies. 2. Attend staff meetings and school functions as required. 3. Work co-operatively with all staff and foster team work. 4. Oversee all job duties of teacher assistants and volunteers. 5. Assist to ensure that the Desired Results Assessment Instrument requirements are met and work with all teaching staff and Directors to insure individual needs of children are met and appropriate evidence is collected for DRDP. 6. Plan and implement curriculum utilizing the needs of children, assessment findings, and CDE's Learning Foundation as a basis. 7. Interact and redirect with children in a positive and respectful manner. Provide opportunities for children to experience success. 8. Maintain accurate records including attendance, daily tracking, sign in sheets, meal counts, inventories, child observations, and medication log. 9. Maintain room in a neat, clean and orderly manner. 10. Assure each child has their own clean blanket, sheet and sanitized cot if applicable. 11. Keep playground free of debris, water fountains unclogged and put toys away after each use. 12. Repair broken/dangerous toys or throw out as necessary. 13. Supply parents with written or verbal notes about their child's day including highlights, changes in eating or sleeping patterns and injuries. 14. Keep Director informed of children with persistent behavior and/or health problems. 15. Report suspicious bruises or injuries to Director. 16. Plan specific activities and events to encourage parent involvement and participation. 17. Conduct parent conferences and continually report child's progress to parent. 18. Complete EES Core Training within the first year of employment with EES. 19. Maintain a minimum of three units per year in ECE or two workshops approved by the Site Director. 20. Assist with implementation of Title 22 requirements for Health and Safety regulations. 21. Seek prior approval from President and CEO before endorsing memorandum of understanding in regards to collaboration with other community funded agencies. 22. Review and follow EES employee handbook. 23. Duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above list. The list of duties and responsibilities may be expanded at times without revision to meet the immediate needs of the agency, including location. Supervisory Responsibilities 1. May provide instruction and guidance to Support Teachers and Instructional Assistant, to assist in their professional development. 2. Implement program for infant/toddler caregivers (if applicable).Skills Effective Oral, Auditory, Visual and Written Communication Skills Reading Skills Organization & Leadership Maintain Confidentiality Professionalism Customer Service Time Management Diplomacy Math Aptitude Filing Education/Training Degree:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Teacher Permit (12 core ECE units); and 16 hours of Health & Safety including CPR and First Aid. Follow requirements CA. Matrix Must complete 15 additional units toward a Teacher permit. Must meet Lead Teacher requirements within 5 years. Experience Minimum of 50 days of 3 + hours per day within 2 years. Certifications/Licenses CPR, First Aid and Preventative Health Practices Provide current transcripts during annual performance review Annual proof of influenza vaccine, (or a statement declining) Proof of pertussis and measles immunizations Fingerprint and Criminal Record clearance required. FBI and child abuse index. Complete and pass CDSS Mandated Reporter Certification Valid Driver's License and proof of current insurance if driving on behalf of EES Physical Demands and Working Conditions Child development center classroom environment, position may require maintaining physical condition necessary for walking, bending, sitting on the floor, standing for long periods of time and lifting children and materials as necessary. The daily environment will require extensive standing, bending at the waist, squatting, up and down movement with your legs, crawling, kneeling, twisting, walking, lifting, reaching above and below shoulders, climbing and jumping. There will be physical activities performed with the children that include jumping jacks, running, etc. There will be times you may be performing work under stressful conditions.Pay:
