Company Overview We are a large Licensed Child Care in Whittier, CA looking for a dynamic enthusiastic co teacher that will help in creating and providing a warm, homelike environment for children from infancy to 13 years old, emphasizing socio-emotional development and fostering a love for learning. Our dedicated team is committed to nurturing each child's growth and ensuring a safe, engaging space for all. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and reliable Child Care Support Co-Teacher/Driver/General Cleaning professional to join us. We are looking for a candidate looking for a permanent long term position working with kids as they grow as they move through from Preschool through Elementary School by providing and supporting classroom activities, safely transporting children from school to the center, maintaining cleanliness of the facility, and assisting with daily caregiving tasks. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, possess strong organizational skills, and be dedicated to creating a positive environment and providing a strong educational foundation to help children reach their potential. Duties Safely pick up children from designated schools and return them to the child care center, ensuring punctuality and safety during transportation. Assist in supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities, promoting positive behavior management and childhood development. Support classroom teachers with age-appropriate activities, including toddler and infant care, early childhood education, and preschool routines. Maintain cleanliness of the center by performing general cleaning duties such as tidying play areas, sanitizing toys and surfaces, and ensuring a hygienic environment. Engage with children through play, teaching basic skills, and helping with homework or developmental exercises as needed. Monitor children's well-being, respond to their needs promptly, and assist with behavior management strategies. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain open communication with parents and team members regarding children's progress or concerns. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early childhood education practices. Experience with infants, toddlers, or children with disabilities is a plus. Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; candidates should be willing to obtain these if not already certified. Familiarity with classroom experience or early childhood coursework from an accredited institution will be considered an asset.
