Company Overview We are a Licensed large family child Care in Whittier located in Whittier, Ca. We serve children from infancy through early adolescence in a warm, homelike environment that emphasizes socio-emotional development and personalized attention. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Child Educator with additional support skills in general cleaning and driving to join our team. This role involves engaging with children through educational activities, assisting with classroom management, and providing safe transportation for school-aged children (Mileage Paid). The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, nurturing development, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for all children. Responsibilities Supervise and interact with children during daily activities, fostering a positive learning environment Assist with classroom management, behavior guidance, and developmental support for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged kids Support early childhood education by implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities based on childhood development principles Provide safe transportation by driving children to and from school or extracurricular activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols Maintain cleanliness of the childcare environment through general cleaning duties to promote hygiene and safety standards Help with light housekeeping tasks related to the care environment to ensure a welcoming space for children and staff Collaborate with team members to create a nurturing atmosphere that supports each child's unique needs Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings; experience with individuals with disabilities is a plus Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management techniques, and early childhood education best practices Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; willingness to drive children safely to school and activities Ability to perform general cleaning duties to maintain a healthy environment Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Experience or coursework in special education or working with children with diverse needs preferred Strong communication skills, patience, and a caring attitude toward children of all ages Join us at Brighter Beginnings in Child Care where your enthusiasm can make a meaningful difference in children's lives!
